As much as Rohit Sharma’s ballistic run with his bat keeps going into a new level with every game, his bold and brazen comments in the press conferences deserve equal recognition. When asked by a journalist about how the team will celebrate veteran MS Dhoni‘s birthday, the vice-captain wiped the audience with his cheeky sense of humour.
It is undeniably not the first time that the 32-year-old swept the public with his straight forward and a comical reply. When asked to him what advice he would give to the Pakistan batsmen to raise the game on scoring one of his five centuries, he replied by saying “I can’t revert on it right now. In case I’m appointed as their batting coach, I’ll be able to advise them.”
At the press conference after their victory over Sri Lanka, Rohit said as quoted “What can I say now, It’s his birthday What do we say on birthdays? Happy Birthday. We have travel day tomorrow, don’t know whether we are going to Birmingham or Manchester, so as per the cake cutting will be in the bus. Will send photos to you guys.” Here’s the video of his press conference:-

The Indian vice-captain has been acing not with the bat, but also ruling the press conferences with his eerie and sarcastic comments. The right-hander has been nothing short of being in a brilliant touch in the ongoing tournament. Although he endured a lean series against Australia prior to the World Cup, he came to the fore at the grandest stage of them all. Sharma currently leads the run-scoring charts with 647 runs with five centuries. The men in blue are two games away from potentially clinching their third World Cup title.
