As the countdown for the Indian Premier League (IPL) has begun, franchises have started the promotions for the 13th edition of the popular league. A few days back, IPL had shared an ad for the new edition where they have teased the greats of the game; MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Now, a new ad is winning the hearts of the fans.
There is no doubt that Rohit-led Mumbai Indians is the most successful team in the IPL. They have been champions in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
Under the captaincy of Rohit, MI has won all the titles which have made him the most successful skipper in the history of IPL. But there is a fact which is famous among fans and eventually doesn’t make Mumbai hot favourites – to lift the famous trophy this season.
MI has been successful in odd years as they have failed to lift the trophy in even years. Thus, the IPL ad takes a dig at this odd and even fact, stating “Sharma ji Ka beta sirf odd saal mein trophy lata hai”.
IPL advertisement:
The stage is set ?️ and the banter is ?

IPL’s new ad starring Rohit Sharma:
Rohit in the new ad reminds his fans that the next edition will be the 13th i.e, odd. So, he is surely going to lift the trophy again.
“I was simply waiting for the clock to strike the right number! Time to go even this #VIVOIPL season, @mipaltan!,” Rohit wrote.

The defending champions will play curtain-raiser against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on 29th March.
Besides, it will be interesting to see what will be the results in the IPL 2020 which is an even year.
Will CSK lift the trophy or Indians end up the odd and even debate or IPL will get a new winner?
