Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was all happy with his team’s performance against Delhi Capitals as they have got the direct ticket for the grand finale of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. But amid all the positive, MI also got an injury scare of their premier bowler Trent Boult.

The New Zealand pacer after giving a dream start to Mumbai Indians was seen moving out of the park in the 14th over of Delhi Capitals innings. He sent Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane back to hut in the first over for a duck. The two quick wickets sent the momentum for MI, who had given mammoth 201 runs target to struggling DC.

However, after bowling his second over, the speedster sustained a groin injury and left the ground although his absence didn’t halt MI to get on the nerves of DC. Jasprit Bumrah along with other bowlers, seal the deal for the side, winning the match by 57 runs. But Trent Boult’s injury worried fans about his availability for the grand finale.

In the post-match conference, Rohit Sharma informed that the Kiwi’s injury was not serious and three days break before going to their 6th final will be enough for him to recover.

“I’ve not seen him (Boult). But he seems okay. I don’t think it’s a big problem. Three days rest and he should be back in the park,” he said.

Further, MI skipper heaped praise on the fast bowling duo- Bumrah and Boult- for executing their plans perfectly.

“Bumrah and Boult have been in solid form. They play for different teams so they have different plans. We as a team have different plans and it’s great to see them execute those,” he added.
