Sanju Samson Is An Indian: S Sreesanth Replies Shashi Tharoor On Mentioning The Player As Thiruvananthapuram Lad

Sanju Samson is in the news after he hit his first List A century. In the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20, Sanju Samson plays for Kerela. The Kerela lad hit a double century against Goa which was his first List A hundred.
Samson is struggling to gain a place in the Indian national cricket team. He has played one T20I for the Indian team against Zimbabwe in 2015 where he scored 19 runs. Since then, he didn’t get the chance to play in the senior team. The player is playing domestic cricket with a goal to take his place in the Indian team.

Samson has played 53 first-class cricket and his highest score is 211 runs. He has Impressive performance in the longer format. The player in List A struggles to play but in the current domestic season, he has proved himself in the limited-overs also.
Kerela captain Robin Uthappa won the toss and chose to bat first on 12th October against Goa. Skipper lost its wicket after scoring 10 runs and another opener Vishnu Vinod also lost the wicket early. But Sanju Samson was there to stand for the team and he batted very well for the team.
The right-hand batsman scored unbeaten 212 runs which include 21 fours and 10 sixes. During that knock, the strike rate of the player was 164.34 which is very high.
Politics on Sanju Samson’s performance
Samson belongs to the same state of Shashi Tharoor as the politician was in full praise of the player. Congress leader shares the tweet and praises Samson’s performance. He wrote-

Indian cricketer S Sreesanth, who is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member, didn’t stop to take a dig at the Congress leader. As Tharoor mentions Samson as Thiruvananthapuram lad, Sreesanth criticised him for mentioning him of a state.

He replied to Tharoor and wrote, “Sir.., Don’t tag him as just a Trivandrum boy..he is Malayalam”s proud son and a great INDIAN. He is gonna make all of us proud very soon by scoring big and better in internationals @where he belongs..let’s hope and give him the best support .. @IamSanjuSamson
