India On The Top Spot In The ICC World Test Championship

India registered another win in the second Test match against Proteas by an innings and 137 runs. With this, India has won the three-match Test series by 2-0 with one match to go. The Team will move toward Ranchi to play the third and final Test match of this series against South Africa.
In the Pune ground, India was dominant in all the departments. Mayank Agarwal, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja were the major player to score runs in the second Test match and set the big total of 600 runs.

Indian bowlers were successful in halting the visitors to score the mammoth target. Umesh Yadav, who made the comeback in the team, was successful in taking six wickets of visitors in the Pune ground. Wriddhiman Saha was also in full praise because of his outstanding wicket keeping skills.
India is on the top in World Test Championship 2019-21
After winning the second Test match, India has gained 40 points in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2019-21. With 200 points India is in the top of the points table of WTC.
India, after winning the two-match Test series against West Indies, has gained 120 points in Test Championship. The West Indies Test series was India’s first Test series in the inaugural edition of the WTC 2019-21. According to points distribution in WTC, if the team is playing the two-match Test series, the team will get 60 points each for winning the match and 20 points for the draw.

India is currently playing the three-match Test series. So according to the point table, the winning team will get 40 points for each match and 13 points for the draw. So in total, after winning the two-Test match against Proteas, India has gained 80 points.

India will try to register the victory in the third and last Test match against South Africa to add another 40 points in the table. India is currently 140 points ahead of New Zealand who is on the second number in the table.
