Kerala youngster Sanju showed a great performance as he scored a double century in just 125 balls. He has struck the ball in all the directions in the field and the Goa players were not able to halt the wicketkeeper-Batsman. The 24-year-old became the fastest Indian player to score the double century in the List A cricket.

The right-hand batsman scored unbeaten 212 runs which include 21 fours and 10 sixes. During this, the strike rate of the player was 164.34 which is very high. This was the first century for the player in the List A career which he has converted into a doubleton.

The other Indian players who have struck a double century in the List A career are-Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Shikhar Dhawan, Karn Kaushal and Rohit Sharma who has hit three times. And now, Sanju Samson added his name in the list.

The other player which played very well in this match was Sachin Baby. He scored 127 runs in 135 balls and shared a record partnership with Sanju Samson. Kerela captain Robin Uthappa won the toss and chose to bat first. Robin though lost its wicket after scoring 10 runs and another opener Vishnu Vinod also lost the wicket early. But Sanju Samson was there to stand for the team and he batted very well for the team.
Sanju Samson’s International Career
The wicketkeeper-batsman has played one T20I for India in 2015. He scored 19 runs in that T20I match against Zimbabwe. Since then he has not got a chance in the team. He has been the part of Indian Premier League (IPL).
