The Mumbai lad Shivam Dube, who currently made the debut in Indian national cricket team, expresses that he is working hard on fitness. The tall guy got the eye of everyone on the domestic side and also proved his worth in international cricket.
The all-rounder recently played three T20Is against Bangladesh. However, he didn’t play long innings with the bat but got the three crucial wickets in the last T20I match. He gave a much-needed breakthrough to the team.
Shivam Dube has played 16 first-class, 35 List A and 26 T20 matches. He has also been the part of Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB). Like his captain, he also wants to be fit so he can be productive for the team.

In the interview to Times of India, Dube first makes clear that he is a perfect all-rounder. He doesn’t want anyone to call himself as a batting or bowling all-rounder.
“I am a perfect allrounder,” he insists.
“I have always worked on my game. I have always tried to enhance my skills as an allrounder. Also, I need to stay a lot fitter because if have a dual role to play. So I have ensured that I put in the hard hours to maintain my fitness. I know I can do well at the highest level,” he says.

Obviously, I am happy – Shivam Dube on his ODI call-up
The all-rounder has also earned the call-up for the forthcoming home limited-overs series. His name is added in the T20I as well as ODI squads for the West Indies series. His new place in One-Day International has made the player happier.

“I was first picked up for T20Is and now I got a call for the ODI team. Obviously, I am happy,” he says.
In the Bangladesh T20I series, he opined that Rohit Sharma had given him much needed support which helped him perform well.
“It was simply fabulous to share the dressing room with such good players. Rohit (Sharma) bhai helped me a lot. Besides, the support staff is also fantastic. They help every player and make sure all the players are comfortable,” he says.
