Shoaib Akhtar, on Wednesday, appealed India to provide 10,000 ventilators to Pakistan to combat the coronavirus which has taken lives of 89,426 people all around the world. He added that Pakistan would remember this gesture forever.
To combat the virus of coronavirus, Doctors haven’t found proper medication and the only cure of this disease is social distancing. Also, with the rapid increase in the spread of the coronavirus, countries need adequate medical facilities to treat them. The virus also causes breathing problems and to aid the critically-ill patient’s; the ventilators are used. So, therefore the speedster had requested for the help to provide the machine.

But these are political issues that are discussed between the leaders of the two countries. India is a more powerful country than Pakistan in terms of wealth. And, India has always been helpful to Pakistan in many tough situations, irrespective of tensed political situations. But when a cricketer begs for help, it doesn’t get easily digested by the fans. Similarly, after former Pakistan cricketer Akhtar passed the statement to media, it has astonished many. Twitterati is badly trolling the former cricketer.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions following a tweet of Shoaib Akhtar:
Why Shoaib Akhtar? Is he the PM? Maybe PM chair is shared by cricketers. Let @ImranKhanPTI beg like his buddy did. India would think. Till then bank on masks made from used underwear and poor quality test kits from China. No one helps a country which exports terrorists and begs https://t.co/wrb4yuDNfU

Akhtar has also recommended for organizing a match between India and Pakistan behind close doors to raise funds to combat the deadly virus. His advice was strictly disagreed by former Indian captain Kapil Dev. He said that India doesn’t need the money and they are not interested in keeping the lives of cricketers on danger.
