The legendary Caribbean cricketer Sir Viv Richards has fallen ill ahead of the beginning of the second and final Test between Windies and India at Sabina Park (Kingston).

The 67-year-old Sir Viv Richards is a regular commentator in this series. He also presents during the pre and post-match analysis for the official broadcaster, Sony. Before the toss of the second Test, the Caribbean legend has fallen ill during the pre-match show. He was present in that show along with the former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja and English cricketer Graeme Swann.

Soon, after his falling ill, Sir Viv Richards was taken to the Caribbean dressing room. Though he initially moved from the ground with a stretcher, he later walked on to the Caribbean dressing room with the help two volunteers.
Sir Viv Richards suffered from dehydration
According to the latest media reports, Richards has suffered from dehydration. As the weather is too hot, he has faced this issue. The media reports have further added that Richards has moved to the hospital for a precautionary check-up.
Meanwhile, the Windies captain Jason Holder decided to bowl first after winning the toss in the second Test. Virat Kohli-led India has continued their last Test squad in this match. On the other hand, the two debutants, Rahkeem Cornwall and Jahmar Hamilton, were the only changes in the Caribbean squad. From the previous Test squad, Miguel Cummins and the injured Shai Hope have missed out the ongoing Kingston Test.

Earlier, India won the first Test of this series at Antigua and has taken the 1-0 lead of this series. Starting that Test from a struggling situation, India won by 318 runs – their largest Test victory (by runs) outside India.

Before the Test series, India played the limited-overs series against Windies in this tour. India won the three-match T20I series by 3-0 while also won the three-match ODI series by 2-0.
