ToggleBoard of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has compared the current situation with the Test cricket where everyone will have to be resilient and patient to fight the unprecedented coronavirus virus.
As of now, the COVID-19 has taken the lives of over 2.4 lakh people, and 35.02 lakh have got affected by the deadly virus. The number of cases is increasing day by day, which is scaring the former Indian cricketer.
A Test Match on Dangerous Wicket: Sourav Ganguly
Ganguly said that the current crisis is like playing Test match on a dangerous wicket where the bowler is dominant, and the batsman had to play every ball carefully without any error to keep the game alive.
“This situation is a Test match on a very dangerous wicket. The ball is seaming and spinning as well – the batsman has very little margin of error,” Ganguly said while speaking on ‘100 Hours 100 Stars’, an initiative started by Fever Network.
“So, the batsman has to score runs and keep his wicket safe with this little margin of error, and win this Test match,” he added.

The former captain Sourav Ganguly said that victory would be attained if everyone contributes their best to combat the saddening situation. He further added that the coronavirus had scared him as many people are losing their lives.
“This is very difficult, but we hope that we will win this match together,” he added.
“People are being affected by this so much. There have been so many deaths. This situation upsets me, and I also feel scared,” he said.
The decorated former player also opened up on life under lockdown. He is spending time more time with his family, which is difficult for him in normal circumstances.
