Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president was admitted to the Woodlands hospital in Kolkata on Saturday after he complained of chest pain while working out at his home gym.
The BCCI president tested negative for COVID-19. BCCI president spent the night in the hospital on Saturday where he had light dinner and hasn’t developed fever according to the latest medical update. He will undergo a routine ECG (electrocardiogram) test on Sunday morning.

Sourav Ganguly underwent successful angioplasty on Saturday after being rushed to the Woodlands hospital as he developed chest pain while at the gym. The former Indian captain was exercising on a treadmill at his home gym when he complained of chest pain and had a subsequent blackout suffering dizziness.
The hospital further added that the tests revealed he had suffered a mild heart attack and the popular former cricketer and current BCCI president had blockages in three coronary arteries. Jay Shah, secretary of the BCCI, confirmed the development before adding that Sourav Ganguly was feeling better and is in stable condition.

Sourav Ganguly, aged 48, is admitted in Bed No 516 and is under the care of Dr Saroj Mandal, Dr Soutik Panda, Dr Saptarshi Basu.

He was presented in Woodlands emergency yesterday at 1 pm with chest discomfort, the heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness while performing physical exercise in the home gymnasium at around 11 am.

Treating doctors are keeping a constant vigil on his health situation and taking appropriate measures from time to time. The authorities said there is a history of heart disease in Sourav Ganguly’s family.
