Indian star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin earned another Man-of-the-Series award in the recently ended Test series against West Indies in West Indies. It was his 6th Man-of-the-series in his Test career which are the most no. of Man-of-the-Series by an Indian cricketer in Test. Former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar are in a joint second position in this list with 5 Man-of-the-Series each in their Test career each. The most interesting thing is that Ashwin becomes the record-holder even playing fewer Test series than both the legendary Indian cricketers.

Till date, Ashwin has played only 13 Test series (36 Tests) out of which India won 7, lost 5 and drew only 1 Test series. Out of India’s 7 winning Test series, Ashwin was awarded Man-of-the-series for 6 times. Only in the 2013 Test series between India and West Indies in India, Ashwin not won Man-of-the-Series award despite India won the Test series. Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma was awarded Man-of-the Series in that Test series.

Now we briefly look out the Test series where Ashwin has won Man-of-the-Series.
