ToggleRishabh Pant, India’s wicket-keeper batsman, has revealed that Suresh Raina helps him and teaches him a lot of things. Raina has all the experience under his belt and Pant can learn a lot from the veteran. Meanwhile, both the southpaw batsmen trained together at the Ghaziabad academy of Suresh Raina and it was good practice for both of them. Earlier, Raina had trained with Mohammed Shami and his CSK teammate Piyush Chawla.
Pant stated that he discussed a lot of things with Raina and the Uttar Pradesh batsman helps him move in the right direction. Pant has been under the pump in the recent past as he has not been able to deliver the goods. In fact, Pant has also lost his place in the limited-overs format to KL Rahul, who has grabbed the opportunity. Thus, Pant will need to make a roaring comeback to get back into contention.

Pant said while talking to CSK social media handler, “It’s been a good experience because with him (Raina) you can learn a lot of things. He is a left-handed batsman. You have got that brotherhood. He teaches me a lot of things, on and off the field situations. We discuss a lot of things and it’s helping me.”

On the other hand, Suresh Raina was also full of praise for the talented batsman. Raina added that Pant is a top guy and he wants him to play his natural game and thus back himself. It is noticed that Pant has been lacking a bit in confidence and he is expected to do better as he will gain more experience at the top level.

“He is a top guy. I want him to be who he is. I just want him to be the best batsman for his caliber,” the left-handed batsman said.
Rishabh Pant has all the skills in the game but he would need to grab his opportunities. Pant will play for Delhi Capitals in the IPL whereas Raina will ply his trade for CSK. The Delhi batsman has an impressive record in the IPL and he would like to prove his mettle.
On the other hand, Suresh Raina is the second-highest run-getter in the IPL folklore. The southpaw has scored 5368 runs in 193 IPL matches. The IPL is expected to take place in the UAE from September 26 to November 8.
