The association said in its release that all the selected players will be required to undergo an RT-PCR test for Covid-19 and they should carry the negative report while reporting at the Wankhede Stadium on December 29. For the concerned tournament, Aditya Tare has been appointed as his deputy. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 164 runs in the warm-up games and he has been included as well. He scored 40 runs in 3 games in his debut season in IPL 2020.
Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur And Arjun Tendulkar Failed To Make It To Mumbai Squad For Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
In the Mumbai squad, Shreyas Iyer and Shardul Thakur haven’t gotten chances for various reasons. Shreyas Iyer is recovering from a shoulder injury while Shardul Thakur is currently in Australia as a net practice bowler for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy that India are trailing by 0-1 in 4 Test series.

In the meantime, Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, failed to make the Mumbai squad. As per the Mumbai Cricket Association’s release, the selected players in Mumbai squad will have to report at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday, December 29.
