Three Cricketers Other Than MS Dhoni Ready For IPL 2020 After a Long Layoff
Apart from the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, there are at least three more cricketers who are gearing up to join the premier T20 league after a long layoff. Ever since India’s exclusion from the World Cup 2019, MS Dhoni has been missing from the game for a while now.
But as the 13th season of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is nearing, Dhoni is seen practicing more in the nets.
A few days back he was seen practicing with the junior team at the Jharkhand State Cricket Stadium. And soon he will be taking off to hone his skills at the Chepauk Stadium from March 1.
Meanwhile, it will be the first time when Dhoni will be practicing with the entire team a month earlier than the league kicks off. And as he leads Chennai Super Kings (CSK), eyeing to bag the fourth title for the banner, this season will define the former Indian skipper’s future in cricket for the senior team.
Nevertheless, some cricketers have been out of the game for a long time. And then there are cricketers who haven’t played any game ever since the conclusion of the 12th edition of the league.
Here are the three other cricketers who will be making a comeback in the game ever since the IPL 2019.
Three Cricketers to make comeback in IPL 2020 after being away for a while:
After the IPL 2019, Suresh Raina has been away from cricket for a while as he had to undergo knee surgery. Dhoni’s deputy in the premier league is now ready to make a comeback in the game as another season of IPL stands just around the corner.
While recovering from the surgery, Raina was ruled out of the limited-overs game in the 2019-20 season of the national side.
However, he is now ready to make the comeback in the game and has been practicing at the CSK base for a couple of weeks now. Raina will probably rejoin Dhoni at the nets on March 2 while the official camp for CSK kicks-off from March 10.
