The Indian team has started their campaign in the 2019-21 ICC World Test Championship with a big victory against the host side Windies. In their first Test of the two-match Test series at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium (Antigua), India won by 318 runs. It was India’s largest Test victory (by runs) outside India.

With this victory, India is in the safest position in this series as they are leading by 1-0.

Though India struggled in the early period of the Antigua Test, they gradually tightened their position with the time progress. Most of the Indian players performed well in that match, but the Indian captain Virat Kohli has a high tendency to change the playing XI. So, he and the team management can think once again to change the playing XI for the final Test of this series.

Sabina Park (Kingston) will organise the second and final Test of this series from 30th August.

Here are the three possible changes that we can see in the forthcoming Kingston Test.

Rohit Sharma replacing Mayank Agarwal

It is a very early time for the Test opener Mayank Agarwal who has played only three Tests. After playing well in his first two Tests in Australia, Agarwal retained his Test place for the Antigua Test. Though he failed in the Antigua Test, where he scored 5 and 16 runs, Agarwal still deserves to serve the national team.

However, the experienced Rohit Sharma also deserves to earn a Test opportunity. While KL Rahul played two crucial knocks in the Antigua Test, Agarwal may lose his place for the upcoming Kingston Test. Moreover, most of the other batsmen also played well in the Antigua Test.

The 32-year-old Rohit Sharma played his last Test in last December at Melbourne. As he is presently in an impressive form in limited-overs cricket, many believe that it is the best time for his Test return.
