Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni bagged the 2016 Asia Cup T20 trophy in his typical style.
India beat Bangladesh in the rain-interrupted final of 2016 Asia Cup T20 by 8 wickets. The match was played for 15-overs in each inning where Indian skipper MS Dhoni sent Bangladesh to bat first at Mirpur pitch. Bangladesh managed 120 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 15 overs. India reached that target in 13.5 overs with 8 wickets are still remaining.
After early departing of Indian opener Rohit Sharma, another Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli took Indian team into very strong position with their sensible battings. When Dhawan was dismissed, India still needed 22 runs in 14 balls and Dhoni came into the crease in that very crucial moment.
Dhoni scored unbeaten 20 runs in just 6 balls with 2 sixes and 1 four while he finished the match in his style with a ‘sixer’. It was the last delivery of the 14th over, where Dhoni hit that six over the mid-wicket boundary to Al-Amin Hossain’s full-toss.
Apart from that shot, Dhoni also hit one more six and one four in his cameo innings. Both shots came in the 14th over and the bowler was Al-Amin Hossain.
