The way no.1 Test batsman is playing is set to take the Indian team in significant heights. In such a short span of his cricket career, he is touching the clouds. He just recorded his 43rd ODI century in the ongoing tour in West Indies and is close to breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar by seven centuries.
Tendulkar scored 49 centuries in 463 ODIs (452 innings). Sachin has an average of 44.83 in ODI whereas Kohli has 60.31 in just 239 ODIs. He is ranked as the no.1 ODI batsman. Kohli has played 77 Test matches and scored 25 centuries in total. He is halfway to Sachin Tendulkar record of making 51 centuries in 200 Test matches (329 innings).

Kohli is achieving the feat at a very early age. Virender Sehwag also has the same opinion, but he believes that he cannot break Sachin’s one record, i.e. playing 200 Test matches.
Virender Sehwag told TOI, “At the moment, Virat (Kohli) is the best batsman. The way he is scoring centuries, the way he is scoring runs, he is the best. I am sure he will break most of Sachin Tendulkar’s records.
“The one record no one can break is his (Sachin) 200 Test matches record. I don’t think anyone can break his record of playing 200 Test matches. I don’t think anybody can play more than 200 Test matches.”

Sehwag also proposed that India can win the two-match Test series against West Indies. Windies don’t have quality players who can compete with the present Indian team he opined.
“The West Indies team don’t have quality players in their side who can give competition to this Indian team. I am sure India will win the two-match Test series 2-0,” Virender Sehwag said.
