Team has till now not solve the mystery of no.4 which was also seen in the ground. It was a cumbersome situation for India team as the player were not sure for their place. Indian skipper Virat Kohli made clear to media about the situation in the post-match ceremony. He quoted it as a miscommunication. He said that it would be a funny situation if both the players have come in the pitch.

I think there was a miscommunication – Virat Kohli

“I think there was a miscommunication there,” Kohli said. “That’s what I understood afterwards. The batting coach [Vikram Rathour] had a word with both of them and there was a misunderstanding of who has to go [in] at what stage of the game. So, it was a bit funny afterwards because they both wanted to walk in. It would have been very funny if both had reached the pitch… three batsmen [would have been] in the field. Yeah, I think it was a miscommunication in the middle.”

“We had it planned according to phases. So, after 10 overs we decided Rishabh would walk in. Before that Shreyas had to walk in. So, I think both of them got confused and didn’t realise who had to walk in at what stage of the game,” Kohli said.

Pant’s performance is also questionable as the player got out after making 19 runs in 20 balls in the third match. In the second match at Mohali, he scored 4 runs and was out after giving the catch to the fielder. Indian team is trying different players at no.4 currently the options can be Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey and KL Rahul.
