India’s catching has been top-class on day four of the second Test match at Pune against South Africa. First India’s wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha took a fine catch while diving to his left to dismiss Theunis de Bruyn. Subsequently, Ajinkya Rahane, who is India’s best slip fielder took a stunner to dismiss Temba Bavuma.

Ravindra Jadeja was able to induce Bavuma into a drive and got the outside edge of the batsman. Ajinkya Rahane who was stationed at first slip took a splendid catch while diving to his left. In fact, the ball had gone past Rahane but he had kept his eyes on the ball and took a fine catch. Bavuma played well for his knock of 38 runs but could not go on to make a big score.

Meanwhile, India is three wickets away from taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series. The hosts’ had decided to enforce the follow-on after skittling out the visitors for 275 runs in the first innings. The Proteas have once again gone down like a pack of cards as they are tottering at 146-7.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have scalped two wickets each whereas the three pacers Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, and Ishant Sharma have taken one wicket each.

In fact, no South African batsman has gone past the 50-run mark in the second innings. Dean Elgar has been thus far the top-scorer with 48 runs. However, the left-hander played a poor shot at the stroke of lunch. Elgar went for the big shot against Ravichandran Ashwin and got a leading edge.

Furthermore, Quinton de Kock also played a poor shot against Ravindra Jadeja. The left-hander tried to go for the big shot but could not get the connection. Faf du Plessis struggled to get going as he scored only five runs from 54 balls.
