India is playing the second Test match against South Africa in the Pune ground. In the second Test match, Indian bowlers have dominated the field as the visitors are not able to set themselves. But in the field, the superstar was the wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.

Rishabh Pant‘s replacement Wriddhiman Saha has proven his capability as wicketkeeper in the second Test match. He took the tough catches on the bowl of the pacer Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma. His catching ability and eyeing the ball is tremendously well in the field.

Skipper Faf du Plessis got out on the ball of Ravichandran Ashwin but the credit should go to Saha who took the tough catch behind the wicket. It could be named as the thriller catch as it slipped multiple times from Saha’s hand. Finally, it landed on the safe hand of Saha. The Proteas skipper had to go back to the Pavillion after scoring 5 runs.

In that same first session, Wriddhiman also took the unbelievable catch of Theunis de Bruyn on the ball of Umesh Yadav. He dived and took the catch with one hand and de Bruyn was sent back to the pavilion.

Saha is playing in the team after a long break as he was injured. His injury gave the chance to youngster Rishabh Pant. Pant has faced the latest Test exclusion due to his poor batting form. In the Test match against South Africa, Saha has proved his worth for the team. He has full control over his fielding area.

Saha made his debut in the Test team in 2010. The 34-year-old has played 33 Test matches (excluding this Pune Test match) and has 3 centuries and five half-centuries. His performance in the Pune ground has proved him to be one of the best Wicket Keeper.
