Watch: Chris Morris Reaction After Ajinkya Rahane’s Wicket

Rajasthan Royals have registered their first win in IPL 2018 in a rain curtailed game against Delhi Daredevils. Having won the toss and opted to field first, Delhi bowlers were good enough to ensure that there is no run flow in the initial overs.

They also managed to take the wickets of Ben Stokes and D’Arcy Short in that span. However, Sanju Samson and Ajinkya Rahane went counter attacking the bowlers.

The duo were quite effective in handling the Delhi bowlers before Shahbaz Nadeem took both the wickets in his spell. This had hampered the progress of Royals to an extent.

Mainly the wicket of Rahane was very important for Delhi as the skipper was playing the role of an anchor. In an attempt, to push the ball to mid wicket, Rahane got a leading edge on his bat.

Shahbaz Nadeem managed to turn the ball enough to beat Rahane on flight. The ball walloped into the air and Chris Morris took the catch at backward point. However, the South African was happy with the catch.

He expressed his delight as he gestured his teammates about the flood lights. The lights had made it difficult for Morris to spot the ball in the air.

Jos Buttler Fireworks and Tight Bowling

The fireworks from Jos Buttler has helped them to a very good 153/5 in 17.5 overs. But the rain gods had ensured that their presence was felt.

The Rajasthan innings was soon curtailed and the Delhi innings was cut short to just 6 overs with a target of 71 runs. The Rajasthan bolwers were simply sensational as they picked up important wickets at regular intervals.

This had ensured that Delhi did not get any momentum throughout the six overs. They eventually won the game with 10 runs and kept their impeccable home record intact after their return.
