Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is being criticised after the team lost the T20I series against Sri Lanka which Pakistan hosted. The captain is being questioned for the team’s as well as his performance. Recently, during one of the press conferences, the skipper was insulted by a journalist.
Pakistan was playing T20I after a long time in their home soil and also it was the first series after the ICC World Cup 2019. The fans were angry from Sarfaraz after the disappointing World Cup. The men in green had the chance to regain its position in the series against Sri Lanka. The team which toured Pakistan was inexperienced and had no major players as many of them backed because of security concerns.

Though Pakistan won the three-match ODI series by 2-0, they lost all the three T20Is of that series. It was much humiliating for Pakistan as they lost the match to an inexperienced team in the home ground. Pakistan team, who is No.1 in the ICC T20I team rankings, lost all the three-match in T20I series. The fans hoped that the team will give the tough fight in the last T20I match to keep its pride but the host was not able to set themselves in the field in front of the talented Sri Lankan team.
After this series defeat, the newly appointed coach Misbah-ul-Haq and Sarfaraz Ahmed were surrounded with questions. Misbah admitted that the team needed to improve itself.

Who will come to watch you in Faisalabad? a journalist asked Sarfaraz Ahmed
Sarfaraz, before the upcoming Australia tour, decides to play for Sindh franchise in the Pakistan National T20 cup. Recently, he attended a press conference for the franchise where a journalist asked an abrupt question.
He questioned “Sarfaraz, you have disappointed the cricket fans so much, who will come to watch you in Faisalabad?”
"You've disappointed the cricket fans so much that they've started cursing you. Who will come to see you play in the #NationalT20Cup?" – a journalist to Pak's Captain Sarfraz Ahmed

Meanwhile, the Pakistan team is scheduled with three-matches T20I series and two-match Test series against the hosts Australia next month. As per reports, Sarfaraz will lead the team in T20I and Azhar Ali will lead the Test team in Australia tour.
