Virat Kohli-led India have totally dominated in the ongoing home Test series against South Africa. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada is disappointed with their performances in this series. He feels that they are totally under immense pressure in this Test series.
Like South Africa’s previous tour of India (2015), this time also the visitors have once again failed to perform competitively in the Test series. In fact, this time, inexperienced South Africa totally disappointed against the hosts in Test series. Kagiso Rabada is one of the common players who have featured in both these Test series. Though this time he has performed slightly better, especially in the last Test at Pune, the visitors have totally failed to become competitive.

In the first Test of this ongoing series at Visakhapatnam, India won by 203 runs. Later, the hosts won the second Test at Pune by an innings and 137 runs. Before the third or final Test of this series at Ranchi, India have already secured this series by leading it 2-0. The final Test of this series will begin on 19th October.
Kagiso Rabada recently told, “We’ve been put under immense pressure. I don’t know if we can be put more pressure than that.”
The young South African pacer praised the Indian bowlers
Not only the Indian batsmen, Kagiso Rabada feels that all the Indian bowlers have also dominated in this Test series. While the Indian spinners have bowled well, the Indian pacers have also properly utilised the reverse-swing.
Rabada added, “They got the ball to reverse and they bowled well as a collective. Their whole attack put pressure on us in every single aspect. Their spinners bowled well and when the ball was reversing their seamers could exploit that. We didn’t really get the ball to reverse and that’s a major weapon of ours.”
We’re going through a transition period – Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada is unhappy with their performances in this Test series but admitted that they are going through a transition period. He wants to find out the positivity from this series and improve as a team.

Rabada said, “It’s never nice to lose, especially in the manner we’re losing right now but we’re going through a transition period. Our team is fresh and young, so the best thing we can do is look at where we can improve and remember our strengths and build on them.”
The 24-year-old Rabada wants his team to perform well in the last game of this Test series at Ranchi. Talking about this upcoming game, Rabada has pointed out their next steps to improve their performances.
He said, “From a physical point of view we need to execute our skills and from a mental point of view, we need to believe we can do it in certain situations. It’s a balance we’re working on.”
Before this Test series, South Africa also played a three-match T20I series against India in this same tour. While the first T20I was washed out in rain, India and South Africa won the second and third T20I matches respectively.
