West Indies vs India 2019: 2nd Test, Jamaica – Match Prediction
India will look to continue their domination against depleted West Indies side when the second Test match will commence from 30th August at Jamaica. The visitors had ticked the right boxes in the first match when they had sealed the deal by a gargantuan margin of 318 runs. Thus, India will aim to win the series and grab another 60 points on offer.
On the other hand, West Indies will need to come up with a collective effort to challenge a potent side like India. The hosts could not deliver the goods with the bat and also could not seize the crucial stages of the match in the first Test.
India was too good for the West Indies.
Jason Holder-led side has roped in Keemo Paul in place of Miguel Cummins who had gone wicketless in the opening Test. Paul had missed the first Test due to ankle injury however he has recovered from the same.
Meanwhile, India had a lot of positives to take from the first Test match. Ajinkya Rahane was finally able to end the runs drought as he scored a total of 183 runs in the Test match.
The Indian vice-captain came up with a fine knock of 81 runs in the first dig when the tourists had their backs against the wall. Furthermore, he was able to get a Test century after a long gap of 30 innings. Consequently, Rahane will like to continue the good show going.
Moreover, Ishant Sharma bowled accurate lines and length to take a five-wicket haul. Subsequently, Jasprit Bumrah once again showed why he is the bowler to look out for as he took his fourth five-wicket haul. However, players like KL Rahul will like to convert their starts into substantial scores.
Match Prediction – India will begin the contest as red hot favorites after convincingly winning the first Test match. However, the visitors will not like to take Windies lightly as they have played some good cricket in the home conditions.
