India’s middle-order batsman Hanuma Vihari has given credit to Ravi Shastri for making him change his stance. Shastri had suggested Vihari to flex his knees more in the second Test match. Vihari had a dream Test match as he scored his maiden century in the first innings. Furthermore, he scored another unbeaten fifty in the second dig.

Thus, Vihari was awarded the Man of the match. The right-hander showed great technique and he was able to deliver the goods in the series. In fact, the right-hander had also scored a fine knock of 93 runs in the second essay of the first Test match.
Vihari was able to deliver the goods.
“He (Shastri) was talking about flexing my knees a little bit, I was a little upright in the first innings, so flexing my knees meant I could move my foot both on front and back foot”, said Vihari in conversation with fielding coach R Sridhar, which was posted by the BCCI on its website.
“It worked out very well and a lot of credit should go to him”, he added.
Meanwhile, Vihari stated that he relishes the opportunity to bat under pressure. India was not in command when Vihari had walked into bat in the first innings. The 25-year old has shown that he wears a calm head on his shoulders and played a brilliant knock to put India’s noses in front.
“I relish batting under pressure because that is the challenge you have to accept as a batsman and these situations bring the best out of me, said the Andhra batsman, who scored a 93 in the first Test in North Sound. I feel I try to focus on what the situation is, and have a certain game plan and I was fortunate enough to have good partnerships with Jinx (Ajinkya Rahane).”
On the other hand, Indian captain Virat Kohli stated that Hanuma Vihari was the find of the tour for the team. Meanwhile, Vihari said that he was confident of a good show as he was playing on the same pitches for quite some time.
