WI vs India 2019: Virender Sehwag Congratulates Hanuma Vihari And Jasprit Bumrah
Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag gave his congratulations to Hanuma Vihari and Jasprit Bumrah. Hanuma Vihari scored his maiden Test century as he batted at the top of his game. Vihari was not able to get to the three digits in the first Test match as he was dismissed for 93 runs in the second innings.
However, Vihari was able to make the most of his opportunity in the second Test match. The right-hander batted with gumption and scored a fine knock of 111 runs with the help of 16 fours. Furthermore, Vihari added a fine alliance of 112 runs with Ishant Sharma to help India post a par score of 416 runs.
Vihari has shown the right temperament.
The right-hander was able to tick the right boxes and batted with great control. Vihari has a cool head on his shoulders and he lets the bowlers bowl to his strength. The right-hander knows where his off-stump is and thus he has a good leave under his belt.
On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah continued to impress with the ball. Bumrah once again breathed fire with his bowling and the West Indies batsmen had no answers. The Windies batsmen found themselves at sea while facing Bumrah who is getting better with every match.
Bumrah was at his best.
Furthermore, the right-arm pacer became the third Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in the Test fold after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan. Bumrah claimed his fifth five-wicket haul in his early Test career. The talismanic bowler has taken six wickets and has conceded only 16 runs in his spell.
Virender Sehwag took to his Twitter account to heap praise on Hanuma Vihari and Jasprit Bumrah. The post read as, “Many congratulations to Hanuma Vihari on his first test century, the first of many. Has shown great determination every time he has batted. And to Jasprit Bumrah on a sensational hat-trick.”
