The last few months have been sensational for Nicholas Pooran in his cricketing career. After losing his touch with the willow in the previous season, he emerged out as a match-winner in the last few months. After showing his calibre in the domestic season, he received his maiden call-up in the Windies team.
The good season helped him to break into the playing XI of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League 2019. He had a stellar ride in IPL 2019, where he scored runs on a consistent basis for the team. And then, Nicholas Pooran managed to break into the World Cup squad, which is currently playing in England.

Nicholas Pooran is three games short to become eligible:
All of a sudden, yet another deal made its way to Nicholas Pooran in his career. He was asked to play five games for Yorkshire County in the upcoming Vitality T20 Blast. Though it is a short stint, the stylish batsman would love to show his mojo to England fans.
Meanwhile, his stint with Yorkshire depends on his presence in the Windies team for ongoing World Cup. As per the rules of the county, a player can be signed as an overseas only if he played at least 15 ODI games or One Test match for his respective country.

So far, Nicholas Pooran played 12 games and a sure-shot player in the Windies batting lineup, as he is in a fine form. Most Probably, he would play all the world cup games for Windies if he is fit and available.
The destructive left-handed batsman, who lines up against England in Southampton on Friday, has agreed to feature in five group games between the World Cup final on July 14 and the Windies’ home Twenty20 series versus India, starting in Florida on August 3.
All in all, it is going to be an interesting season for Yorkshire in the upcoming T20 Blast. They have always been considered as tough nuts to crack down. Now, the addition of Nicholas Pooran would certainly help them in many ways.
