ToggleIn the 3rd match of the Women’s T20 Challenge 2020, Smriti Mandhana-led Trailblazers are playing against Harmanpreet Kaur-led Supernovas at Sharjah Cricket Stadium (Sharjah).
Both teams are playing their second match in the Women’s T20 Challenge 2020. Both teams already started their tournament campaign after meeting against Mithali Raj-led Velocity. While Velocity beat the two-time Women’s T20 Challenge champions Supernovas by five wickets, Trailblazers thrashed Velocity by nine wickets after bundling out Mithali Raj-led side for just 47 runs.

It is the must-win game for Supernovas as a victory can help them to advance to final of this tournament due to having better net run-rate than Velocity. Meanwhile, another defeat for Supernovas means Trailblazers will play against Velocity in the final of this tournament. The points table leader Trailblazers already have very strong net run-rate (net run-rate = +3.905).
Women’s T20 Challenge 2020, Match 3: Trailblazers vs Supernovas – Toss Report
Supernovas captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first.

Harmanpreet said, “We will bat first. It’s a must-win game for us and we thought if we bat first it will be advantage for us as we have added one extra spinner to our team. All of us are having a good time in the nets. Change of pace is key as a bowler.”
On the other hand, Trailblazers skipper Smriti Mandhana confirmed that they haven’t made any alteration in the playing XI.

Mandhana said, “I wanted to field first and my toss record is not that great and even in the last game it didn’t go our way, but Im happy to bowl first. We got a day off yesterday just had a small team meeting and watched the men’s IPL, some rest and ready for tonight’s game. It looks like a better wicket than the one day before. We are going with the same team.”
