Former SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) player Yusuf Pathan has lauded his younger brother Irfan Pathan for finding Abdul Samad, a young talent from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), who is currently playing his maiden Indian Premier League season in the UAE.
Abdul Samad has shown impressive performance against Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. The powerful hitter showed his ability to hit long sixes while facing DC’s bowler. Against CSK, he didn’t get the opportunity to bat but with the ball, he starred for the team. The tall allrounder picked up one wicket while also defended 28 runs off the last over of the match with MS Dhoni and Sam Curran at the crease.
Yusuf Pathan praises his brother Irfan Pathan:

The 18-year-old is trained by none other than Irfan Pathan, who was himself an allrounder for the Indian team. Taking to Twitter, Irfan’s big brother praised him for scouting a talented cricketer like Abdul Samad. He even said that Irfan is ready to become IPL’s scouting team.
“A great find Irfan. Abdul Samad is off to a proper start with both bat and ball, a lot of potential in him. Tu toh acha scout ban sakte hai IPL teams ke liye,” Yusuf tweeted.
Replying to him, Irfan wrote that he was already an unofficial talent scout.
“Haha lala mere unofficial scout to already hoo (Lala, I’m already an unofficial scout),” Irfan replied on Yusuf’s tweet.
Abdul Samad third cricketer playing from J&K:

With playing his maiden IPL season, Abdul Samad has become the third cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to feature in the most-watched league. The two other cricketers from the state are Parvez Rasool (Pune Warriors, RCB and SRH) and Rasikh Salam (Mumbai Indians).
Abdul Samad had a terrific domestic season after which he caught the limelight. The youngster from Rajouri had an incredible Ranji 2019/20 season and he scored three centuries, amassing 592 runs. His tally of 36 sixes were the most by anyone in the season.
