Yuzvendra Chahal Gets Emotional, Reveals No One Sits On MS Dhoni’s Seat – Watch
MS Dhoni has been away from international cricket for more than six months now and there is no clear update about his return. In his absence, the team management has also moved on from Rishabh Pant and has been giving chances to KL Rahul, who has done well so far.
Dhoni will surely be back during IPL 2020 and as per head coach Ravi Shastri, a good season can also earn Dhoni a place in the T20 World Cup squad. But he isn’t expected to play any form of cricket till then.
While his fans are waiting to see Dhoni back in action, it seems like the players have also started missing the former India captain. In the latest episode of ‘Chahal TV’, hosted by Yuzvendra Chahal, the leg-spinner got emotional and revealed that no one sits on Dhoni’s seat.
“There is this one player who has never been on Chahal TV. He (Dhoni) was desperate to feature in Chahal TV a couple of times and even requested me in the past. But I said – not now. No one sits here. We miss him a lot,” he said.

It isn’t clear whether the members of Team India know about Dhoni’s future. Keeping in mind that he doesn’t communicate with anyone, there can be a case when even the players have no idea whether Dhoni will make a comeback to play T20 World Cup.
The 38-year-old last played for India at World Cup 2019. He was expected to retire following India’s defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the semi-final but he hasn’t made a decision yet. As per N Srinivasan, the owner of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni will also play IPL 2021. But fans shouldn’t expect him to play both the T20 World Cups.
The move to make Rahul keep wickets has done wonders so far and Virat Kohli has said that they will continue with him for the job. This also means that Rishabh is now out of playing XI and he will have to wait for a while to make a comeback.
