Bayern Munich have apparently found their perfect replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger in Juventus’ central midfielder Arturo Vidal. According to agent Di Marzio’s report, Pep Guardiola’s side is closely linked with the Chilean international in this summer.

German midfield maestro Bastian Schweinsteiger left the club last week for Premier League giants Manchester United for £14.4m. Since then there had been a void in the side’s midfield. Spanish manager Pep Guardiola has accordingly targeted Juventus’ star midfielder Arturo Vidal to fill up Schweinsteiger’s place.

Italian Serie A champions Juventus FC have already lost two prolific players in Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez who left for New York City FC and Boca Juniors respectively. Vidal’s departure would come as a big blow for the side. Accordingly they have fixed a €40 million price tag for the Chilean, but it is believed that Bayern might match that price.

Bayern have so far bought just one player in this transfer window. Brazilian midfielder Douglas Costa joined the side last month. Vidal’s inclusion will be a great boost to the side.

Arturo Vidal had joined Juventus FC in 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen. He has been exceptional for the club in this last 4 years and served the team relentlessly. Vidal has won 4 league titles in 4 seasons, 1 Copa Italia and has also played the UEFA Champions League final last season.
