Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly boosting Real Madrid’s bid to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

Dybala has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent months.

The 23-year-old has been in fine form for Juventus this season, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists from 29 games.

His current club are keen to tie him down to a new contract in order to fend off interest from La Liga’s top two clubs.

But Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Ronaldo is helping Madrid’s pursuit of Dybala. He recently fuelled speculation by liking two of the Portuguese superstar’s Instagram pictures.

It is said that the former Manchester United star is frequently messaging the Juventus striker about a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. And the report claims that Ronaldo has approved the signing of the Argentina international.

The same outlet adds Los Blancos’s plan to get the Juventus forward by offering up midfielders Isco and Mateo Kovacic. Both players have been connected with the Italian champions before, so the move isn’t out of the question.

But what needs to be answered is if Juve are willing to sell their star 23-year-old. Dybala has also been connected more than once with Manchester United.

Club president Florentino Perez is determined to land a striker with Madrid’s current strikeforce struggling for consistency.

Ronaldo, despite scoring 33 goals from 36 games, has shown signs of warning this campaign. Karim Benzema’s form has tailed off while Gareth Bale’s injury struggles have hampered his season so far.

Also, Madrid see the Bianconeri star as the future of the franchise, the kind of marquee signing that can herald the arrival of a new winning cycle.

Dybala’s new Juventus contract- which he has yet to sign – is set expire in June 2021 and be around €7 million a season.

It looked like Dybala would sign the deal soon, and it appeared that he was being postponed only because agent Pierpaolo Triulzi had to return to Argentina for the birth of his son.

And yet, all the reports that the deal is close… have yet to bear fruit.
