Revealed: Top seven potential destinations for Jack Wilshere

Arsenal midfielder jack Wilshere will be allowed to go out on loan in a bid to resurrect his injury-plagued career, according to reports.

The news that Arsene Wenger is willing to let the midfielder depart the Emirates is a huge fall from grace for the 23-year-old, who has long been lauded as the most naturally talented Englishman of his generation.

However, injuries have seen him lose his place in a fiercely competitive midfield at Arsenal and now it’s thought that his best hope of proving his worth is impressing elsewhere.

So where might he go? We take a look at the options…   Juventus

Still reeling from the departure of Paul Pogba, Wilshere would provide a quick and quality fix for the Serie A champions. The Italian outfit have been immediately linked with Wilshere and the move would provide him with minutes at the very top level of the game with Juventus expected to go deep in the Champions League.

West Ham

West Ham are desperate for a successful season to coincide with their first year at the Olympic Stadium and have already shown a willingness to spend in the transfer market to make sure it happens. That could extend to paying Wilshere’s wages, with a guarantee that he would add some quality to their midfield.

Everton

If you’re to loan a player to one of your Premier League rivals, sending him to the most inoffensive of the lot is perhaps a wise idea. That club would be Everton and with Ronald Koeman in charge Wenger would be satisfied that Wilshere was getting some sound guidance.

Manchester City

Would be a shock move but just 12 months ago Manchester City were being strongly linked with a big-money bid for Wilshere. If they are still serious about stealing him away from Arsenal, then taking him on loan would be a like a try-before-you-buy deal. Wenger would likely be anti.

Valencia

A move to Spain could be a good fit for Wilshere and perhaps Valencia are the stand-out club. Their ties to the Premier League via the Neville brothers could provide an in, while losing their two opening games of the season could provide them with the motivation to sign someone up.

Borussia Monchengladbach

Germany is also an option for Wilshere and perhaps Borussia Monchengladbach are the best choice. Dortmund and Bayern have many midfield options already but Monchengladbach are short – partly because Arsenal snatched Granit Xhaka from them earlier in the summer. The club, which finished fourth last season, would also provide Champions League football.

Tottenham

Yeah right. This could also happen. Afterall we are talking about arsenal’s transfer window drama. Expect anything!
