Wrestlemania is that stage where pro-wrestlers solidify their legacy. Even one match on the card could give them lifetime fame to cherish. The majority of the card is filled up by the regular superstars whereas the rest gets consumed by returning legends or part-timers. A Wrestlemania card differs a lot with the gap of a year as numerous names go through major ups and downs.

The Undertaker
The Deadman was not seen in the grandest stage in 2019 who made the show his holy playground, over the years. Fortunately, he is coming back to action in 2020 featuring in a match against AJ Styles. The Undertaker returned at Super ShowDown to take out AJ and win the Tuwaiq Trophy. It was the first indication that The Phenome was back for the ‘show of shows’ after a year’s hiatus.

Dolph Ziggler
The former 2-time world champion does not have a grand record at Wrestlemania but he is still considered to be a veteran who mostly put over his opponents. He was not seen around WWE for the Wrestlemania 35 timespan who came back at the beginning of 2019 summer. Although it’s yet to be confirmed, he should be on the match card of the upcoming edition courtesy of his storyline against Otis Dojovic which also features Mandy Rose in the capacity.

Humberto Carrillo
The Mexican star could do much during his stint on the WWE Cruiserweight division. But Humberto Carrillo can be considered as the breakout star since arriving on the main roster by feuding with Andrade. It’s highly speculated that he will be seen in the US title match at Wrestlemania 36 competing in a multi-person match where Andrade, Rey Mysterio or Angel Garza may accompany him.

Angel Garza
Speaking of Garza, he too was part of the Cruiserweight division before getting imported to the main roster. Getting company on Monday Night Raw by Zelina Vega, he managed to solidify his heel status who will join the above-mentioned multi-person match speculated for Wrestlemania 36. He showed excellent villainous qualities who could feature in several more cards in the future, to say the least.

Shayna Baszler
The former UFC superstar has quite an impressive run in NXT. Before leaving the black and yellow brand, she became a 2-Time NXT Women’s Champion and held the title for a record 416 days. Moving into the main roster, she quickly found herself in a feud against none other the reigning champion, itself. Thus a year later after competing at NXT TakeOver: New York in 2019, Shayna Baszler competes in the main card of Wrestlemania 36 against RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for the title.

Rhea Ripley
The current NXT Champion had a tremendous run in the WWE over the past few months. From the Mae Young Classic to become NXT UK Women’s Champion, then the NXT Women’s Champion and then competing at the main show of Wrestlemania is an unbelievable achievement. Plus, she is making history by taking on the greatest opponent she can ever expect that is Charlotte Flair. Also, it will be the first time that an NXT title will be on the line in the main card of Wrestlemania.

John Cena
In order to focus more on his Hollywood career, the 16-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion hasn’t been seen in a major part of WrestleMania, over the past few years. Last year, he attended the show but only to appear in a special segment with Elias. It was since 2004 that John Cena did not compete in a match. But he is returning to action this year as the show takes place in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. The Fiend Bray Wyatt is announced as his opponent as we can expect a solid match between these two.

The Fiend Bray Wyatt
Speaking of Cena, even his opponent himself was not seen at the Wrestlemania 35 match card. Bray Wyatt’s rejuvenated version showed up only in the summer of 2019 to cement himself as a real threat in the WWE. The former Universal Champion has digested his first loss against Goldberg who will now look forward to getting back his dominated status by making Cena his victim at the biggest stage.

Goldberg
WrestleMania 36 marks Goldberg’s first match at WrestleMania in three years. He missed last year’s event whereas back in 2018, he was inducted to the prestigious Hall of Fame. Prior to April 5th, 2020, he competed at Super Showdown 2019 against The Undertaker, at Summerslam against Dolph Ziggler. His final match happened at Super Showdown 2020 where he became a 2-Time Universal Champion and will now defend it against Roman Reigns.

Edge
The unthinkable happened proving the ‘never say never’ phrase true in terms of the pro-wrestling context. Edge is nowhere near to wrestling ever, a year ago. But he went through triple neck fusions surgeries to get cleared by the WWE doctors. Then he made his return at #21 in the Men’s Royal Rumble match to shock the fans and started a storyline with Randy Orton that would emanate at Wrestlemania 36. When we talk about the Rated R Superstar, the stakes are pretty high as he has not been seen in the past 9 Wrestlemania events.
