Potential Plans For Tyson Fury At Wrestlemania 36
Cain Velasquez was his first victim at WWE Crown Jewel 2019. Following that, he also defeated Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series in November.
Since then, we have not seen The Beast Incarnate in action nor on TV as he has gone into a hiatus. This is a general schedule for Brock Lesnar as his contract allows us to work only on a selected number of dates.
As of now, the speculation is that Brock Lesnar will be back to perform at WWE Royal Rumble. This is one of the big-four PPV events in the calendar which needs bigger star power. Hence, WWE uses him as marquee attention. However, there’s still no backstage update available on who could end up being his challenger for the championship.
Return Of Brock Lesnar & Title Matches Announced For First WWE Raw Of 2020
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about WWE’s Raw’s ongoing angles. The top programs on the show will consist of possibly six men, but that would leave an open spot for Brock Lesnar’s Royal Rumble opponent, (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
“So it looks like we’re going to have Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens against the AOP feud. Maybe as a three-way with Rey Mysterio as the third guy against AOP and Seth Rollins. It looks like that’s gonna be the top Raw program.”
“What’s interesting is that Lesnar should be coming back soon. I wonder who’s left for him if that’s the other program.”
As noted earlier, Cain Velasquez has been booked for the Royal Rumble 2020 PPV event. So there could be a rubber match waiting between Cain and Brock Lesnar at the PPV event. The first 2020 WWE Network special will take place at the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
