Cain Velasquez is gearing up to make his WWE debut against WWE Champion Brock Lesnar on October 31 at Crown Jewel. He will be competing for the most prestigious title in sports entertainment in the first match of his WWE career. It looks like he has received the best guide that he could possibly have asked for. None other than legendary Rey Mysterio is sweating it out to make him pro-wrestling friendly before competing against The Beast.
WrestlingINC.com previously revealed that Cain Velasquez would be heading to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando later this week to train with Rey Mysterio. That appeared to be true as Velasquez and Mysterio also trained at the Level Up Pro Wrestling school in San Diego, California this week. Rey’s son Dominick was also there in the ring with them. You can catch a glimpse of their training sessions as shared on social media.

Meanwhile, WWE has announced that Cain Velasquez will team up with Rey Mysterio at the upcoming WWE Supershow live event in Mexico City. There’s no update yet on who these two will face as a team, but we are likely to receive an update in due course as the match is still more than one month away. It will take place on Saturday, November 30th at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. Tickets for the show are available now. Here’s the official announcement,

“As first reported by www.record.com.mx, when the legendary Rey Mysterio returns to action in Mexico on Nov. 30, he will be fighting alongside none other than his friend and former UFC Champion Cain Velasquez in a tag team matchup. The exciting contest will take place one month after Velasquez battles Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Oct. 31.
The WWE Live Mexico SuperShow will take place at the Arena Ciudad de México and feature your favorite Superstars from Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.

As mentioned earlier, Cain Velasquez will make WWE in-ring debut on Thursday, October 31st at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. This fight against WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will go down as the main event of the night. Plus, it won’t be a one-off fight for Cain as he inked a multi-year deal with the WWE.
