A Wyatt Swamp Fight has been confirmed for the upcoming WWE “Extreme Rules: The Horror Show” pay-per-view, two weeks ago on SmackDown. WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman challenged Bray Wyatt to return to “The Swamp” where Wyatt was created. Wyatt didn’t accept the challenge, but WWE.com later confirmed the match.
It should be noted that the Extreme Rules PPV now has the tagline of “The Horror Show”. So, The Wyatt Swamp could very well end up being the main event of the PPV. This fight will be contested between Wyatt and Strowman in a non-title capacity. The champion previously defeated Wyatt at the WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view in May. Now they are likely to compete in a very special match.

WrestlingINC.com revealed spoilers regarding this Extreme Rules that will be converted into a cinematic-style match. Now they revealed additional details on the bout. The source has reported that WWE is planning a mixture of a ‘Terminator film and a horror movie’ kind of match between them. The plan is to have various spots and storytelling to be shown from their past to the present.
“One source noted to me that this will be a cross between a Terminator and a horror movie, noting Bray’s ability to always revive himself. The plan is for the match to be more action-packed than Wyatt’s “Firefly Funhouse” match against John Cena at WrestleMania this past April.” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)

WWE wants to go back to the special Boneyard Match from WrestleMania at Extreme Rules “but in a Bray Wyatt kind of way.” Wyatt is heavily involved in the production of this match along with Jeremy Borash. Triple H will also get involved when the filming time of the match will eventually arrive.
WWE has been looking for a location where they can film the Extreme Rules match. It will reportedly be another overnight shoot at the outdoors. Michael Hayes, who was involved with some other cinematic matches, won’t be involved this time as he is having hip surgery. But he will provide his own input into putting together the story.
