Update On First WWE Diva Sunny Getting Released From Jail

While the majority of the WWE Universe was talking about the big happenings within the WWE, this past weekend, a Hall of Famer was on the completely different side of the world. One of the most ravishing women to ever step foot in the business of wrestling was sentenced to jail and now she is out of the prison.

We are talking about Sunny who was released from Carbon County Correctional in Carbon County, Pennsylvania on this past Tuesday morning. The report was first broken by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet who also works on behalf of WWE, nowadays. The glam girl of wrestling has had quite a troubling past with the law since 2012. She had been arrested five times in total, in a four week period.

An arrest warrant was issued against her in February 2019 for missing a scheduled drug test. Sunny was also reportedly maintaining a stable residence as she was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. It appeared to be her third DUI arrest in 12 months, and sixth overall, making the police records worse.

Sunny was already given a punishment of 5 years of imprisonment in 2016 but was given credit for 97 days time served and paroled. Her previous attorney filed a petition last year to ‘withdraw as her defense counsel’, as per the given court records. So there were hopes that she could get out of the bars, pretty quick.

The recently released reports had also suggested that Sunny would be released on parole in March after her new attorney filed a parole petition with the courts in January 2020. But the good thing is, she has been released from prison earlier than the scheduled time.

One of the gorgeous Attitude Era’s female superstars, Sunny aka Tammy Lynn Sytch was in jail since early 2019 due to multiple DUI charges against her. Her parole was revoked after multiple violations such as ‘failure to notify authorities of her whereabouts, failure to pay an agreed-upon monthly fee for her release, and failure to maintain a stable residence.’ (courtesy sescoops.com)

For those who are unaware, Sunny is a WWE Hall of Famer who was inducted into the prestigious club back in 2011. She was credited for being the first “Diva” of the WWE brand and a staple of the Attitude Era locker room from the late ’90s.

She has also worked in ECW and WCW as well before joining WWF owned by Vince McMahon. Sunny is also a 2-time Slammy Award winner who also had the honor by facilitated by the Cauliflower Alley Club for her contributions to wrestling.
