India won the second test match against Australia by 6 wickets, Men in Blue is now leading by 2-0 against Pat Cummins-led side in ongoing the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), the spin twins of India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked 16 wickets in total between them.
Jadeja was declared player of the match for his 10 dismissals and 26 runs. Australian coach Andrew McDonald said it was the first time he saw both Ashwin and Jadeja bowling with a defensive field.
Australian coach said that his side failed to execute the batting plan-
“Frantic is probably the word (to describe the collapse). It felt like we were sort of rushing towards a total, we were in a really strong position at 2-85, driving the game, and it was the first time I’d seen (Ravichandran) Ashwin with defensive fields and (Ravindra) Jadeja as well, so we felt like we were controlling the game well there,” said the year-old McDonald.
“As happens in the sub-continent, you give an inch and they’ll take a mile. They got a little opening and they drove it to their advantage and suddenly the pressure that we built up during the game, and that was one of the real focuses of the game to shift the pressure to the Indian dressing room, it felt like we did that and then it just came flooding back to our change room,” he further added.
Australia coach Andrew McDonald has rejected suggestions the team was not prepared well enough for the tour of India – amid calls to bring in an Aussie great for help.https://t.co/vewjskEzCt

Australian coach revealed that some of the batters got out of the plan and played sweep shots-
“Michael De Venuto (batting coach) and the coaches do a fantastic job in gearing up the individuals for the way they want to play. I think a few players got away from what makes them really good players in that moment,” said former Australian player McDonald.
Team India will now be looking to win the third test match of four test match series to secure their place in the World Test Championship final. Rohit Sharma-led side will take on Pat Cummins-led Australia for the next test match at Indore on March 1st.
