WWE Star Lacey Evans Not On The Goodbooks Of Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon wanted to bring a star out of Lacey Evans after she debuted on the main roster. His assumption was that this lady had all the tools to be the top female superstar on the roster. This was the reason behind bringing her to the main roster even though she wasn’t properly done with her NXT stint as WWE had some big things in store for her.

Lacey Evans started by challenging Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship in her first singles PPV match. She even main-evented the Extreme Rules PPV last year while going after the title in a mixed tag team match. Although she never became the champion, her heel persona was pretty impressive that made us believe, she’s a future champion.

But the situation changed in recent times and it looks like Lacey Evans isn’t going to win the title, anytime soon. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, McMahon’s opinion on the blonde star has changed this year. He’s no longer high on her and her track record also suggests the same. In 2019 & 2020 (so far), she had a total of 10 PPV matches in WWE and she ended up losing all of them.

The Lady of the WWE had a great start in her career on Raw portraying the character of a strong heel. Sooner, McMahon realized he could be a greater attraction due to her military background which was the reason behind transitioning her into a babyface superstar. She was also traded to SmackDown during the Draft to have a fresh start on the blue brand.

Additionally, Lacey Evans was chosen to perform in the first-ever Women’s Division match in Saudi Arabia in the fall of 2019. WWE wanted to portray her as a strong mother who goes through the rigorous travel schedule of the WWE. But then her career went downwards as she had some failed attempts in capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Lacey Evans was not booked to perform at the Backlash pay-per-view event, this past Sunday and she commented the following regarding this on Twitter,

“Looks at schedule for Sunday…..Loooorrrddddddd. I’m not booked ya nasties. But I will be tuning in to see what’s brought to the table. And yes, ill be tweet tweeting the whole time.”
