The Heavy Machinery guy was finally able to get her girl and also receive a kiss inside the ring that created a perfect WrestleMania moment for both of them.

Apart from Otis and Mandy Rose, Dolph Ziggler, and Sonya Deville were also involved in this romantic storyline. They wanted to be a couple for a long time but Ziggler and Deville’s conspiracy theories were able to keep them apart. On the second night of WrestleMania 36, Otis finally defeated Dolph Ziggler to get embraced by Rose.

In a recent interview with SI.com, Mandy Rose revealed how all of this started from scratch. It is hard to go into the creative head Vince McMahon’s office and pitch a storyline. She was lucky enough to not only do so but also be a part of the entire creative process,
“It’s hard to get in Vince’s office, but I finally got in and I pitched this story,” Mandy Rose said. “He loved it, he had some ideas, and then Sonya and I had a lot of say in the creative, which was really cool. We were able to write a lot of it. We all worked together, and that’s one of the reasons it’s worked so well. Everyone’s been really passionate about it.”
The Golden Goddess of the WWE is pretty lucky as The Boss approved her idea and eventually converted it into a bug angle that was loved by the fans. Often stories could be heard regarding WWE superstars who become frustrated for not getting the approval of the desired angle on TV. In opposition, Mandy Rose got to be a part of the writing team and give her own creative inputs.
The gorgeous WWE superstar then continued saying how much he has affection for Otis that drove her to get involved in a romantic angle on SmackDown,
“Ever since we met in NXT, we’d always joke around together,” Mandy Rose continued. “He’d call me ‘Mandy Candy’ and cut different promos, and it was really cute. He’s just so charismatic, even when he’s not on camera. He makes us laugh the same amount when he’s off-camera. He’s funny and super sweet, and he’s so kind, which is one of the best qualities.”
It should be noted that this storyline helped to propel both Mandy Rose and Otis in their career. They can now be considered as a legit threat in their respective divisions as WWE got them over as legit babyfaces from an audience perspective. After all, Otis can gloat about getting his first WrestleMania win against a veteran name like Dolph Ziggler.
