It seems like WWE’s official list of female superstars for the celebration of Women’s History Month won’t stop creating controversies.

As it was noted before, former 4-time WWE Divas/Women’s Champion Michelle McCool was the first name to call out WWE. Her name was not included in the list of greatest women superstars to ever compete in the company. Now the same issue is bothering Maria Kanellis.

She wasn’t wither included in WWE’s list of greatest women to capture a Championship. At one point, Maria Kanellis used to be the most popular superstar of the female roster. She was not able to win the Divas or Women’s Championship. But that does not downplay the fact that she is around the pro-wrestling industry for the past 16 years and earned the nickname of the ‘first lady.’

This could be the reason why WWE let her won the 24/7 Championship so that she can claim herself to be the only title-holder in a pregnant condition. In her social media post, this accolade was mentioned as she took a sarcastic way as WWE chose to trim her down from the published list of superstars,

“Hi, The First Pregnant Champ is missing from your list!! I know it must be an accident because I’ve only been in the industry for 16 years, managed, wrestled, produced, and competed against many of the top stars of today. But, I’m not the only one left off the list…”

As seen in the case of Michelle McCool, WWE added her name to edit the list. It’ll be interesting to see whether Maria Kanellis gets the same treatment or not. Calling out the WWE often does not sit well with the top officials as we hope the gorgeous superstars won’t be facing any backlash.

WWE status of Maria Kanellis alongside husband Mike Kanellis is not pleasant, at all. Last year, Mike took to Twitter to announce that he has requested his release from WWE. The company never granted him so as he found his way back to the TV, courtesy of 205 Live show.

When Mike requested the release, it was also speculated whether Maria Kanellis also intends to leave WWE in due course. But later she clarified in an Instagram post that she extended her contract with WWE and will be staying with the company. However, whatever her husband is willing to do, she will be supporting him.
