Veteran WWE Superstar and former Women’s Champion Mickie James has called out brand new WWE RAW Women’s Champion Asuka hinting a fresh feud. Although it seems to be just banter over the social media handles, you never know if WWE ends up booking these two in a championship feud on Raw. Bringing back a name like Mickie James could be an addition of attraction on the show that lacks star power.

Asuka posted a tweet this week challenging any of the superstars from the roster to become a potential contender for her title. She wrote, “Calling out around the world, Are you ready for a brand new beat?”

Mickie James responded to the tweet and it looked like she is willing to face Asuka for her title in the near future. She stated the following,
“Come to think of it @WWEAsuka I’ve NEVER been handed anything in @WWE before, especially a [trophy emoji] #WWE Championship… EVER! [four leaf clover emoji] [smiling face with horns emoji] I’d be happy to come OVER & rightfully TAKE it from you. This time you wouldn’t be so lucky. I got your beat, raise you a sweet solo, now let’s duet! [winking face with tongue emoji] [kiss emoji]”
At present, Asuka has just won the WWE Raw Women’s Championship and there’s no news on who’s going to be her next challenger. No words are out yet on whether Mickie James is going to challenge her for the title in the future. The Empress of Tomorrow hasn’t responded to the tweet, till now which could have started an angle but that’s not the case.
Mickie James has been out of action in the WWE for more than ten months. She has undergone knee surgery in July of last year. She appeared for commentary purposes on WWE Main Event while away from the ring. There’s no update available on when James will be back in action. The interesting thing is that WWE currently has her listed on the SmackDown roster whereas she is seen gunning for the title present on Raw.
Earlier this week, Becky Lynch opened WWE RAW on the USA Network to inform the WWE Universe that she is pregnant with her first child. She then vacated the RAW Women’s Title to Asuka, revealing that this past Sunday’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match was actually hosted for the title but not for the briefcase.
Becky got very emotional and bade goodbye to the fans, for now. Mickie James was referring to this incident while hinting at the future feud with Asuka.
