Additionally, another source brought big news regarding John Cena stating that he is likely to compete at WrestleMania 36. According to Wrestlingnews.co, backstage plans are going on that John Cena is expected to wrestle at the showcase of immortals.

His opponent could be Lars Sullivan if only the latter name can get healed from his knee surgery in time.
We should note that John Cena vs. Lars Sullivan was originally planned to take place at WrestleMania 35. But it was canceled because of Sullivan going home due to an anxiety attack just after debuting on the main roster.
WWE planned a major push for the new resident monster in programming. But all of them got canceled following his undisclosed health conditions. We have never seen Lars on either Raw or SmackDown following that.
As for John Cena, he was in attendance at WrestleMania 35 in a special segment by resurfacing as the Doctors of Thugonomics. It was an in-ring segment, where he laid Elias out with an old-school FU.
It was a brilliant strategy sketched by the WWE creative team to mark the return of one of the greatest of all-time. We’ll have to wait to know more about the next appearance of Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect.
