Paige Still Hopeful To Make A Surprise In-Ring Return In WWE
WWE Superstar Paige has been enjoying her homecoming around the United Kingdom for the past few days. She is part of the promotional tour for WWE’s move to BT Sports in the country who appeared in a number of media sessions. While talking in those interviews, the context of her in-ring return was raised as she denied to talk negatively about it.
The former Divas Champion spoke to GiveMeSport.com to note on her potential in-ring comeback to state the following,
“Hopefully. Never say never – maybe a miracle happens. I hope one day I get to come back.”
Earlier to this, Paige noted on Twitter that she is going to enter the men’s Royal Rumble to face Brock Lesnar and probably win the whole thing. She stuck to her opinion while giving the interview opining about the potential WrestleMania main event featuring herself,
“I’m entering myself into the men’s and women’s rumble. I’m going in at number two, as well. I’m going to eliminate Brock Lesnar. Suplex City bitch!
“Me vs The Fiend. That’s the main event [at WrestleMania]!”
The Norwich born star added that she loves the gimmick of Bray Wyatt in the WWE who is in on top of his game on WWE SmackDown, right now,
“The Fiend is my top star in WWE right now. I think he’s incredible, wonderful. I’ve known Bray [Wyatt] since day one,” Paige continued.
“His character always evolves and changes. It’s so intricate and interesting that he can evolve into anything.”
The rumors of her comeback were fuelled up by a tweet she put out saying a whole lot of career was left in her. Plus, Paige also mentioned that 2020 is going to be a bright year for her. While being asked in an interview with BT Sports, the British Diva gave a clarification saying,
‘People keep asking me about that.
‘I think it’s because I put out the tweet about 2020 being big for me. We’ll have to wait and see.’
When it was put to her that it would be a big shock, she joked about not wanting to spoil it and added: ‘It would be massive, but then it wouldn’t be a surprise!’
All of these Royal Rumble speculations were noted on a light-hearted note, of course. But the bright part of these conversations is that WWE is still considering a comeback for Paige, at some point. She can be hopeful especially considering that Daniel Bryan has made a comeback from a similar concussion whereas Edge might be waiting to do so.
