WWE has been using Goldberg as a marquee attraction ever since he’s decided to come back from hiatus in 2016. He is not a full-timer but can garner attention with one single appearance at any point. The fact that he still possesses the persona of showing up and destroy someone standing in his path, still makes him a bonafide main-eventer. The company took full advantage of his status and wishes to make more money out of it in the future.

Another star who has the same schedule in the WWE is none other than Brock Lesnar. He possesses the same contract with the company which allows him to show up only on selected occasions and destroy his opponents. Recent reports suggest that the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw, Paul Heyman thinks these two have a unique set of skills. So it could only be a matter of time that the duo may have the same assignment.
Triple H Hopeful That Evolution PPV Will Soon Return
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Paul Heyman wants Goldberg to continue his WWE stint so he can “destroy people, as an old legend.” Heyman is fond of the former WCW franchise who will continue booking him in interesting capacities in the future. This must be the reason why WWE has signed Goldberg in a new contract for more matches, earlier this year.
Brock Lesnar will eventually take this role as per the statements carried by ringsidenews.com,
“Long-term the idea would be Goldberg in that role for several more years, and eventually that role would go to Lesnar.”
So this does mean that we will continue seeing Goldberg coming back for one-off matches as a major attraction. Slowly but steadily, Brock Lesnar may fill up his shoes when he decides to hang it up. It will also be interesting to see whether this makes Lesnar a babyface in the future.

Recently, Goldberg and Dolph Ziggler had an altercation in public that fuelled up rumors of a second fight between them after Summerslam 2019. But the WON confirmed that no such backstage plans are ongoing for this,
“We were told that right now there are no plans to do anything with the incident on television nor are there any plans to bring them back as a feud. So it sounds like they were just shooting their own angle for publicity.”
So for now, we have to wait and see when Goldberg may return in the WWE to compete in his next match.
