Randy Orton has been doing headlines for the past few days ever since teasing of moving to the All Elite Wrestling promotion from the WWE. Now that’s an interesting update considering that WWE is the company that made him one of the greatest superstars that pro-wrestling business has to offer, today. A bonafide future Hall of Famer like him would be an asset to any company.

Meanwhile, reports are available on the internet on the current deal of Randy Orton with the WWE. He signed the contract over a decade ago that lasted for ten years.
As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he’s already getting $3 million per year through his current deal. He’s 39 years of old, right now which means the next contract he signs could be the last of his wrestling stint.
This must be the reason why he teased of leaving WWE via an Instagram post. It was a good choice for Randy Orton to play on both sides. Whereas WWE would not take him for granted, AEW may also contact him for a future deal.
First Divorce Court announced for next WWE Raw
This would eventually start bargaining between the two parties and thereby come up with perhaps the most lucrative contract of his career. Here’s more from the source,
“In the end, for someone like Orton, who is believed to be making in the $3 million per year range, and doesn’t work a full house show schedule, WWE is probably the better place. At 39, he may be able to get an even lesser schedule.
Whether he’s the right mix for AEW is a question but next year you’d think they’d be looking for a big pick up and Orton would fit that bill, there’s the question if they want to spend at that level for a new guy.”
At the age of almost 40, Randy Orton can’t expect better than this. Being a veteran in this business, he did the right thing by stirring up the internet and let people talking about his future.
WWE already offers him a relaxed schedule where he can perform in selected house shows as well as TV tapings. So WWE would still be a better workplace for him considering this is familiar territory.
According to former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas, Randall is just having some fun, for now.
“Somebody’s been having fun on the internet again. Hmm… Randall Keith Orton pushing some buttons and getting people talking. Wow… his contract is coming up I think, isn’t it? Hmmm… tagging The Revival, tagging Elias, tagging… ooo Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho ahhh ‘Yeah, send a tape in kid, we’ll take a look at it.’”
“This is all hilarious, man. If you guys think that he’s jumping ship, more power to you. But, I’ve got a feeling that this is just Randall having some fun like Randy likes to do.”
“He’s poking fun at you guys, he’s poking fun at anyone who talks on the internet. He’s not a big fan of ‘the websites’ let’s put it that way, but then again we’ll see what happens. Randy, I’m just enjoying it, aren’t you?”
After all of these happenings around Randy Orton, it’s safe to say that WWE wouldn’t be the only promotion who would try to bring Randy Orton under their contract.
All Elite Wrestling will definitely try to offer a big paycheck to him. The Apex Predator could be the biggest name on their roster to grab more views on their TV tapings. After all, he will be bringing the three most destructive letters in sports entertainment alongside him that is RKO.
