WWE released a local advertisement earlier this week to promote the upcoming pay-per-view event Elimination Chamber. It will be serving as the final stop before WrestleMania 36 as per the current schedule in 2020. The main event of the show is supposed to be a Chamber match to be contested for the number one contender’s spot on Smackdown.

The sent advertisement suggested six participants will be competing in the Elimination Chamber match who are Roman Reigns, King Baron Corbin, Robert Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, Daniel Bryan, and WWE Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman. Updated reports indicate that WWE didn’t give much thought on who they put on that promotional poster as the participants could change.

Bella Twins Rumored For WWE Hall Of Fame 2020 Induction
During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the upcoming Elimination Chamber match is not ‘totally booked on WWE’s end’. They just randomly put out six names so that the venue could start promoting the gimmick-based event and thereby start to selling tickets. These names could certainly be changed when the official announcement is made.

“Yeah, so the six names that were announced that was just a line-up — this is going to sound so ridiculous, but you know what I mean — it was a line-up sent to sell tickets, but they hadn’t decided. They’re going to have an elimination chamber. The winner which is likely going to be Roman Reigns is gonna face Bray Wyatt for the championship at WrestleMania, but who the six names are [in the Chamber match] they just threw six names there.”

As you can see above, Meltzer emphasized on the fact that the outcome of the Elimination Chamber match might remain the same. It will be Roman Reigns who should be winning the contest in order to lock in a spot at the WrestleMania main event. Currently, he is booked to face The Fiend Bray Wyatt at the show of shows over the Universal Championship.
