A possible spoiler for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was provided courtesy of PWInsider.com. It stated that Sasha Banks was scheduled to be on the show. That did not turn out to be true as WWE did not get her on TV but the former Women’s Champion was supposedly present backstage at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. WWE creative may have not found enough room to bring her back on TV in an episode that was fully packed.

Below is what the source reported regarding Sasha Banks before the show went, live,
“Sasha Banks, who has been out injured with what is believed to have been an ankle issue, is scheduled to be at tomorrow’s SmackDown taping.”
Sasha Banks has been out of action with an ankle injury which is yet to be confirmed. Her last WWE TV match took place on January 3rd episode while she was involved in a feud with Lacey Evans. The Sassy Southern Belle also made a comeback on SmackDown, yesterday night following her loss at Royal Rumble 2020 against the Women’s Champion, Bayley which was supposed to drag Sasha Banks back to the equation.
Roman Reigns Returns To Action After WWE Smackdown Went Off The Air
However, that was not the case as Lacey ended her interview segment vowing to become Women’s Champion someday as she gears up for an opportunity at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020. It was Lacey who helped writing Sasha Banks off SmackDown via a scripted attack. Since then, The Boss is selling the injury like a pro even when she is giving interviews in real-life.
At present, rumors are still going on suggesting that Sasha Banks will be back in due course to be a part of WrestleMania 36. She is speculated to be the challenger for SmackDown Women’s Title. However, these two are best friends and it’s hard to believe that there would be bad blood between the duo in the near future.
Here is another interesting tidbit we were told by the same person but I can not 100% confirm it.
